    Evelyn de Morgan was one of the Great Pre Raphaelite painters but because she was a woman was not considered important by the Brotherhood who had a very male dominated outlook. while I was studying for my Art History degree with the Open University I used an image of Medea by de Morgan showing Medea carelessly dropping petals and a wine glass after she has killed the children of Jason who betrayed her. It remains for me a most iconic Image and thanks for reminding me of De Morgan’s talent. Laurence
